Minerva Centers
Eligibility
Minerva Centers are scientific pioneer institutions with a focus on innovative research topics in Israel and are funded by the Minerva Stiftung, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the particular host university where the Center is based. The research at the Centers is carried out in cooperation with German partners.
Eligible for directorship are all scientists, who hold a permanent position at Bar Ilan University, Ben Gurion University, Haifa University, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv University, the Technion or the Weizmann Institute of Science.
Requirements apply to the director of a Center with regard to their scientific track record and experience in leading projects. The director should be an outstanding, experienced research figure and will be responsible for bringing together the critical mass for the subject.
