Heineman Award - Application

A research award for scientists working in the fields of biological and biomedical research which is funded by the Minna-James-Heineman-Sitftung and administered by the Minerva Stiftung.

At the Weizmann Institute, candidates for the James Heineman Research Award will be nominated by the deans of the Faculties of Life Sciences to the Vice President. At the Max Planck Society, candidates for the award will be nominated by the Managing Director of an Institute. The award is bestowed alternately to a Max Planck Institute and a Weizmann Department. Only institutes working in the field of biological and/or biomedical research are allowed to apply.


The nomination process will include the following documents:

  • Laudatio (detailed assessment of the candidates academic qualification);
  • Curriculum vitae;
  • List of publications (from the last five years).

Nominations must be sent to the Minerva office by the end of the deadline. Please submit your application electronically and as one print copy to:
