In May 2020 Dr. Andrea Flack received the research award for scientists working in the fields of biological and biomedical research which is funded by the Minna-James-Heineman-Sitftung and administered by the Minerva Stiftung.
Collective migration in a long-distance migrant: she aims to understand the relative contributions of inherited, environmental and social factors on migratory decisions of storks; and it connects collective movement phenomena to ecological and population-level processes.
