	Use of Funds The award money can be paid as soon as the award winners have accepted the prize. Funds will be placed at the disposal of the research teams over a period of up to five years. Funding may be solely used for research expenses, such as personnel costs, travel costs, small investments, consumables, not, however, for payment of the salaries of the PIs.
