Minerva Short-Term Research Grant

 

A Minerva Programme for short-term exchange between Germany and Israel funded jointly by the Federal Ministery for Education and Research and the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology.

Programme Information

The Minerva Short-Term Research Grant gives young German and Israeli scientists from all subjects the opportunity to visit research partners and to establish contacts with scientists in the respective guest country. Jointly funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the grants also allow scientists to participate in seminars and workshops, particularly as guest speakers. The short-term grants are for stays of one to eight weeks and support their recipients in terms of travel expenses and additional costs.

In 2020 26 young scientists have been supported with a Minerva Short-Termin research grant.

Selection Criteria

Selection criteria for the Minerva Short-Term Research Grant are:

  • scientific excellence of the candidate;
  • scientifically promising and innovative research topics;
  • relevance of the research topic for German-Israeli cooperation.
